Great News: Our Girls & Boys are Returning!!!

Last night, I was reading through one of my older God Books (The Journal in which I document things about my life and the Omni-major role God plays in it) and I came across a part of it in which I wrote a about a dream I had which God explained to me through:

Isaiah 49:24-26 MSG

Can plunder be retrieved from a giant, prisoners of war gotten back from a tyrant? But God says, “Even if a giant grips the plunder and a tyrant holds my people prisoner, I’m the one who’s on your side, defending your cause, rescuing your children. And your enemies, crazed and desperate, will turn on themselves, killing each other in a frenzy of self-destruction. Then everyone will know that I, God , have saved you—I, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

In the dream there was a very ugly greyish-blackish lion that had a person between its jaws. The lion was surrounded by people that were watching it in fear, and it was taunting them telling them they could do nothing and the people he had taken could never be rescued. I was standing by and I was wondering if it was possible for those people to be saved and then the dream ended.
God leading me to the above scripture clarified things but I still did not know the specifics so I just prayed in general.

Last night however, when I re-read the scripture the "Children" bit jumped out at me, and it hit me that this scripture is what we should be proclaiming to bring those girls and boys back who have been taken captive in Nigeria (the same applies for similar situations around the World).

We have been crying "bring back our girls" when we should be proclaiming that "our children are returning".

When David faced Goliath, unlike the rest of Israel He proclaimed His victory even before it was visible in the physical.

1 Samuel 17:45-47 MSG

David answered, “You come at me with sword and spear and battle-ax. I come at you in the name of God -of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel’s troops, whom you curse and mock. This very day God is handing you over to me. I’m about to kill you, cut off your head, and serve up your body and the bodies of your Philistine buddies to the crows and coyotes. The whole earth will know that there’s an extraordinary God in Israel. And everyone gathered here will learn that God doesn’t save by means of sword or spear. The battle belongs to God —he’s handing you to us on a platter!”

God has given us the keys to the Kingdom, and those keys are pretty rusty at the moment, they have been forgotten and we are saying God is doing nothing, while we are the one's who have refused to take responsibility and use the authority we have been given as Children of The One true God (Matt18:18).
God never asked us to cry, beg, or protest...He says we should speak, proclaim,  praise, bind&loose, contend. (Mark11:23, Rom4:17, 2Chr20:22, Matt18:18, Deut2:24). Let us begin to deal with situations in the exact way His word says we should.

Love: Faiths Engine + Song of The Day: You Lead (Jamie Grace)

So, today I woke up with the following scripture ringing in my heart:

Romans 5:5, 8 NIV

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.   But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Initially I was wondering what Gods love had to do with hope not putting us to shame. So I asked God to open my eyes so I could see the marvellous thing He was showing me (Ps 119:18). He then led me to ask my Dad who was in the next room.

My Dad explained to me that God's love is the basis of our hope. In other words our unshakable hope and faith in God is harnessed in our knowledge and understanding of the limitless love He has for us.
He had our backs even while we were still deep in sin, and that was because of how much He loved us and we are assured of this through His Spirit, just as His spirit witnesses to us that we are indeed Gods Children (Rom8:16).

For instance, why does a child trust (with reckless abandon) that their parents would have lunch sorted out for them when they get back from school? Well I believe that deep down inside the child knows that its because he or she is loved too much by his/her parents for them to let him/her starve.

Its all an intertwined love triangle. We have faith in God because we've seen the intensity of His love and then based on that faith we step out obediently in our love for Him and love the people He has made..check this out:

Galatians 5:5-6 NIV

For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

God loves us -> We receive His love & love Him back -> this love then propels us to love one another.

I've said it over and again here in different ways for emphasis, but the question is are you ready put your absolute trust in His love?

Please meditate on the following verses, I believe they say it all:

Romans 8:28, 31-38 NIV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”    No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God thst is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is the engine of our faith!

The Love Litmus Test + Song of The Day: Love (Kirk Franklin)

"I was challenged to do a little exercise with these verses (1 Cor 13:4-8), one that was profoundly convicting. Take the phrase "Love is patient" and substitute your name for the word "love." (For me, "Francis is patient...") Do it for every phrase in the passage.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.   Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

By the end, don't you feel like a liar? If I am meant to represent what love is, then I often fail to love people well.

Following Christ isn't something that can be done halfheartedly or on the side. It is not a label we can display when it is useful. It must be central to everything we do and are." (Extract from Crazy Love by Francis Chan).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLezBXk-cuo&feature=youtube_gdata_player I strongly feel that this is something we should constantly check time and again...we shouldn't be weighed on the Love Scales and found wanting. Are you patient? Are you kind? You might have some areas reflecting Gods love but some not as well...yep again run to Abba (Heb4:16)...We will surely get there as long as we keep abiding!

I've personally been thinking of making a daily confession which was inspired by the the love exercise Francis shared, here goes:

My Love Confession (1Cor13, Phil4:13, Acts 16:28)

Through Christ who strengthens me in Love: I am patient , I am kind. I do not envy, I do not boast, I am not proud. I do not dishonor others, I am not self-seeking, I am not easily angered, I keep no record of wrongs. I do not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth. I always protect, always trust, always hope, always persevere
.  and because of Gods love working in and through me I will live, do and be exactly the way God wants me to without fail. Amen.

Please do join me in this, God has so much in store for His lovers(1Cor2:9).

We Need to Chill! + Song of The Day: As The Deer Pants (Toluwani Obayan Cover)

Luke 10:38-42 MSG

As they continued their travel, Jesus entered a village. A woman by the name of Martha welcomed him and made him feel quite at home. She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen. Later, she stepped in, interrupting them. “Master, don’t you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand.” The Master said, “Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.”

I got to work this morning and was tired...I knew I was supposed to post something on this blog, but honestly felt too tired...I opened my Bible and searched for something God would show me so I could share it, but I still felt tired..and I was like "Father it is to your glory that I have something to share, but I just don't seem to have the strength"...Then very gently He spoke to my Spirit telling me to calm down and come to Him just for the sake of being with Him. He told me to forget everything I wanted to do to His glory and just come to Him for the Love of being with Him.
He spoke to me just like He spoke to Martha, and His peace and Joy enveloped my heart..His soothing calm refreshed my soul, and I fell even more in love with Him.

The truth is my spending time with Him out of a sincere desire to love him more intensely and love Him more intimately is the key to me actually glorifying Him. Me going about it in any other way will leave me fruitless and frustrated....all vanity! Check out the verses below..they're pretty self explanatory.

John 15:4-8 MSG

“Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me. “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.

I'm so humbled by Gods mercy..cos there are so many times I feel I know already and yet He opens my eyes to see how much I don't know and then teaches me what I should know. Abiding in Him is definitely the key to living with His life flowing through our veins spirit, soul and body..Loving Him right, loving the people He has created...its all made easy by His sufficient grace (Phillippians4:13).

Just had to share this because I feel many of us are likely to have struggled or still be struggling with bouts of exhaustion...Relax and abide in Him.

Crazy Love! + Song of The Day: My Life, My Love, My All (Kirk Franklin)

Psalm 139:23-24 NIV

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Please meditate on the verses and pictures above! Yes we're still talking about love.
I shared earlier about God revealing to me that I was not totally influenced by His love in everything I did (evidence of searching me, correcting me and leading me aright (Ps139:23-24), and so as He teaches me how to do it right, I will be sharing whatever He teaches.
This morning I realised he had been leading me to re-read the book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan.
God used it to transform my life about a year ago..however as is stated in the book we all tend to have spiritual amnesia and even though we are awed by Gods love, we need to constantly keep reminding ourselves about it and how we should respond in light of it. I would love it if you could join me in reading this book, will also be sharing a lot from it. I love you! Abba loves you infinitely and unfathomably!
